If you loaded the 16 colour icon set, we recommend you live with a slower
display speed, set your screen to more colours, and go with the 256 colour
icons if you possibly can. They really do look much better :-)

To use these in Windows 95:

If you have Microsoft Plus! then go to the Control Panel and select Display
Properties, click on the Plus! tab and make sure that Show icons using all
possible colors is selected.

If  you do not have Microsoft Plus!, then go to Windows Explorer, then go
into the Windows directory and double-click on regedit.  In regedit, on the
edit menu, click Find. You want to search for Shell Icon BPP, then
double-click on the highlighted entry and change the entry from 4 to 16.
Then exit regedit, restart Windows 95, and you are done.

To use these in Windows 3.1x:

Use a windows display driver in either hi-colour (64k) or true colour (16 million)
colour mode. The icons for the Infocom games will have to be moved into different
program groups, due to a quirk in windows 3. Create program groups with a maximum
of 10 games in each to avoid "Extremely Low Memory- some icons cannot be converted"
errors.
