Welcome to MagnetiX, a quick-and-dirty port of the
Magnetic emulator for OS X. This proram lets you
play Magnetic Scrolls games on your Mac (OS X 10.4
"Tiger" or better is required).

Only a quick note: MagnetiX requires the story and
graphics files to be placed in a "bundle". You can
create a MagnetiX bundle from the single files by
opening a shell and typing:

mkdir Pawn.magnetix
mkdir Pawn.magnetix/Contents
echo "????????" >Pawn.magnetix/Contents/PkgInfo
cp PAWN.MAG Pawn.magnetix/Story
cp PAWN.GFX Pawn.magnetix/Graphics

Obviously, PAWN.MAG and PAWN.GFX are the story and
graphics files you obtained elsewhere.

You can also place hints files in bundles, but
currently MagnetiX doesn't support using them.

The source code for MagnetiX is included. Feel free
to experiment with it!
