JACK OF HARTZ

JACK OF HARTZ (JOH.ZIP) is one of two separate freeware games written with
AGTBIG by two different authors. The other game is titled SIR ARTHUR. What
links the two companion games is that they are based on another AGT game
called "The Search for Princess Alandria", downloaded from the Net. We both
decided we could do "better" than this, so we did. This explains why JACK OF
HARTZ and SIR ARTHUR might appear similar near the beginning, but each game
contains different puzzles to solve and different outcomes at the end.
Neither game is a parody or spoof of the original, they're just two average,
run-of-the-mill, old-fashioned text adventures.

Although the Kingdom of Hartz is entirely fictional, the Hartz Mountains
do indeed exist in the "real" world - in southern Tasmania, to be precise.
