WARNING Gateway to Karos requires a really good emulator or a genuine
Beeb or Master.

You'll probably need to type 
	*DISC "KAROS"
	CHAIN "KAROS"
to load the game in an emulator.

After the game loads, the screen says "You are standing in the garden between
the upright stones of the Gate. Behind you a grey dawn breaks over an alien
land. Type BEGIN to start your adventure."

Type BEGIN (the author was inflexible at times) and the screen will say
"You are on a hilltop..."

Now type SAVE. If you have the real thing, the game will save a file AD in
the Currently Selected Directory (whatever that may mean on your computer).
If you are running Acorn's emulator, you will get an error message "No
writable memory at that address". If your emulator is even less like the real
thing, it may crash or hang, and you have my sympathy.

Having SAVEd a position you may return to it by putting the appropriate AD
file in the CSD and typing CONTINUE. The game will crash if it cannot find
an AD file. RESET will put you back in the garden ready to BEGIN your
adventure; QUIT will show you your score and give you the chance to resume
your game or start over.
