You do not have the envelope. The envelope has your name and address printed on the front, along with the legend "Do not open until inside the house...." House On Haunted Hill You do not have the flashlight. An ordinary yet powerfull flashlight. You don't have the flashlight. The flashlight is now on. The flashlight splutters and dies. Your battery has run out! The battery in the flashlight has died. Just before the end of the driveway is a raised, ornate pond full of statues that would have once sprayed water in graceful plumes. Now they are broken and the pond chocked with weed. Looking up at the house makes you dizzy, bizarre architecture combined with the sweeping searchlights give the impression that the house is taller than it really is. You seem to shrink while watching it. Shivering, you glance south to where your car is back down the driveway. You can feel strange eyes watching you. The entrance to the house is east. Staring more closely at the house you see one of the search beams reflecting off something small. Was that a camera? No... you cannot return to the car. This mystery needs to be explored... What? Just near the bottom of the pond is a small valve. What? The valve can be turned in two directions. It is currently set to "0%". The valve is stuck tight at "20%" What? Muddy brown water starts to seep from a particulary grotesque statue. In the dark it looks a little like blood.... The entrance hall is a huge, elegant room made of white marble. In the centre of the room is an old fashioned, carved oak table. To the east is a grand staircase leading up to the upper floors of the house, to the north and south there are doors leading into other rooms. The entrance hall is a huge, elegant room made of white marble. In the centre of the room is an old fashioned, carved oak table. To the east is a grand staircase leading up to the upper floors of the house, to the north and south there are doors leading into other rooms. Westward, is the outside of the house. Dominating the hall is a stained glass skylight depicting a horrific scene. On the table you can see a handheld video camera. Steven Price is here. What? A horrible piece of art, a twisted interpretation of a Picasso. Depicting people screaming and clawing at their own faces. You do'nt have a camera to film with. You cannot see that. Instead of a skylight, the camera reveals plain glass. Beating on it from above are a dozen people dressed in hospital gowns, their faces contorted and enraged, their moans heard faintly. Suddenly the glass shatters, dropping the patients onto the middle of the floor with a sickening thud... A man you know as Steven Price, from Price entertainments saunters down the staircase. You don't have a camera. A top of the range, portable video camera. You can "FILM" anything with this. You don't have a camera. The camera lens shows the house with flames exploding from the windows, glass raining down. Screams can be heard and in the distance, sirens. Suddenly, metal sheets slam down on all the windows obscuring the flames from view... You do not have a camera. You cannot see that. No longer is the pond decrepid and stagnant, fountains splash from all the statues. A young man walks into shot and turns a valve with a spanner, shutting off the fountain. As he turns toward camera, his face splits into a gaping, demonic, maw... Steven is not here. "The man who has made a living of scaring people,". Steven is attired in black, smoking a cigar. Pencil thin moustache and swept back hair give you the impression of an "orchastrating devil". You do not have a camera. Steven is not around. Hanging around Steven, is a shadowy black aura... Steven glances at you with a withering look, "There's no need to shout,". You hear an echoing cry from somewhere in the house. On the passenger seat next to you is a small white envelope. The envelope has your name and address printed on the front. There is nothing else inside the envelope. You do not have it. Inside the envelope is a small card. You don't have it. "Steven K. An excited, nervous looking man is here, frantically waving to attract your attention. You cannot see that here. This is both morbid and in bad taste. What's wrong with being picked up by a limo? Watson is a small, bespectacled, presentable man; with an obvious nervous condition. Through the camera, Watson appears to be screaming and screaming and screaming... "OK. That's nice. Whatever. I don't care. Please, we have to get moving. Up the driveway. Lets go. C'mon. Aha. You don't seem to be moving.." He is not around. "Hello. Hi. Hello. You have to walk the rest of the way. A young, attractive, proffesional looking woman of around 19. You do not have a camera. Jennifer dissapears when viewed through the camera. She is not here. "Who the fuck are all of you people!" she barks loudly. "Look. Its simple, the house is alive, we are all going to die, we might as well get drunk..." "..er..actually, I own this house. My dad owned it, but he's dead, so now I own it. He died during the reconstruction. Accident.. er... hmmm." On the north wall, through a partially built brick wall, there is a corroded metal door covered in black mould. "Inside is the soul of the House. Eerything that's corrupt about it... My father trapped it in there before he died. the first time I saw it, I thought it was beautiful... "Where are all my guests?" Evelyn asks Steven. "I shredded them, and invited differant people. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have arrived." replies Steven. "Screw you, this is a very sick joke," says Evelyn. She addresses the rest of the people in the room. "I'm going to bed, goodnight." and stomps off up the stairs. "There is booze and drink in the main salon, folks," says Steven and hurries after her. The lounge area, north of the main hall, has an attractive fire burning in the grate. The furniture, though dust caked and rotten is antique Deco and sumptuous. Liquor and a lavish buffet has been set out on a sideboard that lloks like one of Dali's limp pocket-watches. The door to the main salon is locked This room, south of the main hall, looks like a set-up from Steven Price. Blue light filters through dry-ice pouring from an black, open coffin. To the left of the coffin is an elabor Blue light filters through dry-ice pouring from an black, open coffin. To the east, a cracked, broken door opens onto stairs leading down into the darkness... The door to this room is locked. The flashlight mechanism is jammed to "ON". Suddenly, echoing sounds start to reverberate throughout the house. Something black begins to slide down the windows in the salon. Steven looks bemused as Watson shouts "Oh Shit!" and bolts from the room. BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! The windows are completely blacked out. The lounge area, north of the main hall, has an attractive fire burning in the grate. The furniture, though dust caked and rotten is antique Deco and sumptuous. Liquor and a lavish buffet has been set out on a sideboard that looks like one of Dali's limp pocket-watches. "Godammit... Price! You give me my money!" shouts Watson at Steven. "Alright, Mr. Pritchett. Now, I need to know your names so I can write out these checks for one million dollars each. If you survive the night in the house, you keep the check. You may leave at any time but this will forfeit your check.". Everyone introduces themselves to Price as he writes out the checks, handing one to each player. "Godammit... Price! You give me my money!" shouts Watson at Steven. "Alright, Mr. Pritchett. Steven Price, the entertainment mogul enters the room. along with the nervous man from the driveway, who is introduced as Watson Pritchett. He is arguing with Watson about money, or a check. Swirling mist from the dry-ice effect pours out from the coffin. I can't see that. Swirling mist from the dry-ice effect pours out of the coffin onto the floor. Floating inside the coffin, seeminly on nothing, is a smaller coffin. You do not have a camera. The coffin appears no differant. You do not have that. The check is in your name, signed by Steven Price for One Million Dollars. You do not have a camera. You film the check for several minutes. You do not have it. The little black coffin is unornamated and heavy, with a clasp on one side and a hinge on the other. You do not have it. There is nothing else inside the coffin. Inside the coffin is a black Glock 9mm firearm. You do not have a camera You film the coffin for several minutes. You do not have the gun. A powerful handgun. The clip is full with 6 bullets and has been welded shut. You do not have the gun. There are 5 shots left. You do not have the gun There are 4 shots remaining. You do not have the gun. There are 3 shots remaining. A powerful handgun. The clip seems to have been welded shut. A powerful handgun. The clip seems to have been welded shut. You can use this to "SHOOT" things. You grab a bottle of Vodka from the table. Pritchett has cut his hand trying to prevent the metal sheets from slamming down over the front door. You do not have any. A bottle of Smirnoff Black label. So high in alcohol content it could be used for medicinal purposes. This is not the time to get drunk. This is not the time to get drunk. "Thanks. That was the shutdown. The house is now sealed, totally impenetrable. No one gets out, no one gets in. In 1931, Vannacutt sealed all his patients in this building and let them burn.". He looks very gratefull for your help. "If you ever need me to show you around, just CALL me." You do not have a camera. You film the vodka for a while. Pritchett is already here.. You hear an echoing cry from somewhere in the house. Watson arrives. Swirling mist inside the coffin, generated by the dry-ice pours over the side. Floating on nothing inside the coffin, is a small casket. You hear no reply. She is not here. "I don't know how she is doing this. I think there is someone else involved, dressed as a doctor. Small moustache and slicked back hair," "This is all Steven's doing. God knows what kind of 'scares' he has rigged up in this place. He probably has a control room upstairs somewhere," "Intresting" "There is some wierd shit going on in this house. Have you been downstairs in the basement?" "There must be a central mechanism for this house to operate the shutdown. Maybe it's in the basement," "There is some wierd shit going on in this house." You already have some. You are at the top of the stairs leading down into the basement. To the west is the room with the coffin in. East leads down into the basement, but it is really dark down there. On the wall is a complicated bank of switches and fuses, sparking periodically. You cannot see that here. The switches are arranged without any labels or indication of what they might do. Water runs across the bank making it extremely hazardous to touch. I wouldn't touch them if I were you. "Here. Let me switch these on.". Pritchett deftly flicks a switch on the board and the lights begin to flicker in the basement. "Thats about as good as it gets." There isn't any here Bottles and bottles of booze. As you film the liquor, the Dali sideboard begins to melt closer to the floor... This is not the time to get drunk. This is not the time to get drunk. "Thanks. That was the shutdown. No way out, no way in. Anytime you need my help, just 'CALL' me." You do not have a camera. You film the vodka for a few minutes. You do not have any. A bottle of Smirnoff Black label. So high in alcohol content, it could be used for medicinal purposes. You do not have a camera. The camera show Watson flipping a switch on the board. That is not here. Grabbing hold of a fuse send an enormous shock of electricity through your system. As the light of life flickers from your eyes, you can see a dark mist gathering around the corners of the room.... You have already shot up the buffet table once. You do not have a gun. You fire several rounds into the buffet table, smashing all the bottles on it. That would be a silly idea. The lights might go off in the basement. You do not have a gun. Firing point blank range into the bank of switches causes electricity to arc into you. As the light of life flickers from your eyes you see a dark mist begin to gather in the corners of the room... Floating in the mist within the coffin is a small casket. Light from anchient sconces on the wall reveal a moldy, cobwebbed and rubble strewn basement gallery. Five glass cases line the walls, filled with the mummified remains of human bodies. There are exits in every direction. That is not here One glass case contains the distorted and disturbing figure riding on a mummified horse... You do not have a camera Inside the cases, the things begin to move... A T-junction. To the north is a room labelled "Cerebral Hygiene". The lights are flickering wildly here. An 4 way intersection. All is dark to the east. A 4 way intersection. This room is full of damp and mould. What horrific experiments were once conducted in here, god alone knows. In the middle of the room is a medical table, fit with restraining straps and a curious metal swing arm. The only exit is to the south. That is not here. Closer examination reveals the damp, rotten mattress on the table to be covered in blood... You do not have a camera. Your camera reveals a grotesque scene. A doctor and nurse seem to be removing the brain on a still alive and conscious screaming patient. Filming them through an old turn-handle camera is another nurse. Suddenly, all three turn and look at you. By the time the others have heard your screams and have reached you, all that remains is a bloody smear rising from floor to ceiling, then dissapearing into the house... Further west down the corridor, you can see Eddie standing still and quiet. A 3 way intersection. This corridor running north-south appears to end in dead end. On the south wall, through a partially built brick wall, there is a corroded metal door covered in black mould. Many broken bottles of booze. The lounge area, north of the main hall, has an attractive fire burning in the grate. The furniture, though dust caked and rotten is antique Deco and sumptuous. Liquor and a lavish buffet have been laid out on a sideboard that looks like one of Dali's limp pocket watches. An 4 way intersection. A 3 way intersection heading north, south and west. A 3 way junction heading north, south and west. A 4 way intersection. A north-south corridor. As Eddie turns a corner west into a room labelled "Storage", you see a strange metallic gleam in his eyes... This room is filled with shelves, cupboards and discarded medical equipment. To the south, cutting the room in half along the centre is a chainlink fence, behind which there is a open top tank. Lying on it's side in the corner of the room is a wheelchair. Behind the fence you can see Eddie, standing on the rim of the tank. His head is spinning so fast it appears to be a blur... That is not here. The door appears to be almost completely corroded by the black mould it is covered in. Maybe Pritchett knows something about it. You do not have a camera. The mould on the door appears to be writhing and reaching out toward you... That is not here. The door crumbles as soon as you lay your hands on it. Peering through the hole you have made you see a dark, misty form start to take shape... Blurring round the corners of the room, you can see dark, misty tendrils... Suddenly, the darkness forms into a single mass, filled with shadow, tentacles and the suggestion of human faces. Swirling around you, it absorbs you into itself... Better carry on into the house. Don't want to be late for the party. That is not here. The door crumbles as soon as you lay your hand on it. Peering through the hole you have made, you can see a blurry mist beginnning to form in the room beyond... You do not have a gun. Your bullet rips a neat little hole through the metal door. Peering through it, you can see a dark mist beginning to form in the room beyond... You can feel strange eyes watching you. The entrance to the house is east. You are in a north-south hallway at the top of the stairs, which lie to the west. Wallpaper that was once rich and elegant is now hanging off the walls. In the east wall is a window, covered with metallic plating. I think the party has moved into the main salon. The party hasn't finnished yet! It's not time for bed. Eddie is here There is a spanner here on the floor. You do not have a gun. Aiming the Glock high at the skylight, you fire and watch in horro as the entire stained glass explode and begins to hurtle toward you. A shard almost two feet in length plunges into your shoulder. As you life's blood ebbs away in the hall, you feel someone's hands going through your pocket, looking for your cheque.... You cannot see that here. The wheelchair lays on it's side on the floor. One wheel spins crazily, making a high pitched scream. You do not have a camera. Through the camera, the wheelchair appears much the same, except it is not lying on it's side. You cannot see that here. You pull the wheelchair upright, gasping as it pulls out of your hands and begins spinning in the middle of the room. A Wheelcahir sits in the middle of the room, spinning round and round... A Wheelchair sits in the middle of the room, spinning round and round... You cannot see that here. The wheelchair is spinning around in the middle of the room. You cannot see that here. You cannot get a grip on the chair, it's spinning too quickly. You do not have a camera. The chair is occupied by a young woman and is spinning only very slowly. Looking closer at the woman you realise her eye's are completely black... That is not here. Reaching out into the blackness, you feel something solidify around your wrist and you are pulled into the darkness. Inside, black things begin to whisper nightmares into your ear, nightmares that will never end... That is not here. A black mist filled with shadows and whipping, black tendrils. It screams quietly as it works it's way through the room... That is not here. As you reach out towards the entity, you watch in horror as your hand crumbles before your eyes... Caught in thrall by the thing, the rest of your body slowly decomposes to absorbed by it... You do not hava a camera. The entity swirls about the room. That is not here. A thousand faces appear at the front of the thing, all screaming in unison, but the sound seems faint and very far away... You do not have a gun. You unload the entire clip into the thing, but it has no effect... You do not have that. Just an ordinary spanner. You do not have a camera. Just an ordinary spanner. You cannot lift it. You cannot lift them. It is too heavy. You cannot reach it. It is too big. Did you bring a JCB handy, then? It is attached to the pond. You cannot see him here. Eddie is trying to pry open the window with a metal bar. You do not have a camera. Eddie appears to be fading in and out of reality... You cannot see him here. "Hey man, give me some 'HELP'. There has to be a way out of this place." "There's no point man. This place is locked up tight!" He is not here Grabbing hold of the bar, both you and Eddie heave down on it with all your weight. The window screams as it raises by an inch, then slams back down. Eddie drops the bar in disgust. There is a crowbar here. "There must be a switch somewhere that controls the shutdown mechanism, a control room. There's no point trying to lift these plates manually." You cannot see that here. The window has been smashed by Eddie. Behind it, metal plates have slammed down locking the house up tight. This room was once a ward for patients. The yellow, crumbling walls are covered in damp. Hanging from the ceiling are metal tracks to run curtains along. The only exit is to the south. Jennifer is here. This small area sperated from the north end of the storage room by a chainlink fence, is mostly filled by a large metal tank. This small area seperated from the north end of the storage room by a chainlink fence, is mostly filled by a metal tank. Eddie suddenly falls into the tank, splashing you with a dark, thick fluid. You do not have that. It is a crowbar. The tank seems dark and still... You cannot see that here. You do not have a camera. The water appears to be boiling and churning fiercely. The fluid in the tank seems to be heaving back and forth. You put your hands in up to your elbows trying to grab hold of Eddie. Something grabs hold of your wrist trying to pull you into the tank. Screaming, you fight wildly, but eventually lose consciousness... Eddie is slumped against the wall looking defeated. A 3 way junction heading north, south and east. A 3 way intersection heading north, south and east. A 4 way intersection. A north-south corridor. You cannot see Jennifer. Jennifer is looking around the room. Jennifer is jumping up, trying to reach a small hole in the top-corner of the room. You do not have a camera. Jennifer seems wasted away, her skin pulled tight over her bones. "This place is really freaking me out," Jennifer is not here. "Hey, can you lift me up here?" "Whoah! Easy there, I don't want a piggy back. The rest of this basement should be lit up now." Jennifer is not here. Grabbing Jennifer, you boost her up to the level she needs. Fiddling in the hole, she connects two sparking wires, causing more light to flood the basement. "Hey, can you give me a boost up here?" Sara is here. "OK. I'm not who I said I am. The truth is I am.. was.. Jennifers assistant, but I left.. got fired.. whatever. I stole my invitation, she wasn't going to come anyway..." Sara is not here. Sara is looking around the room. You do not have a camera. Sara seems to be fading in and out of reality. You cannot see Sara anywhere. "Hi" A north-south corridor. To the south is a door marked "Dr. Vannacutt", to the east and west are two unmarked doors. From somewhere in the house, you hear a bloody, echoing scream... Lying on the floor, is Melissa'a kodak digital camera Smeared across the floor and ceiling are thick trails of blood, obviously all that is left of Melissa. Lying on the floor is the corpse of Watson Pritchett. He is already dead. You do not have a gun. A confused look crosses Pritchett's eye's as you point the Glock at him. Firing three shots into his chest, he falls over without a word. A 3 way junction heading north, south and east. To the south is a door marked "Saturation Tank". Inside this room is a monstrous piece of equipment with valves, levers and buttons all over it. In the centre is a small door with a porthole window. Stange pipes of all differant sizes lead from the top of the domed structre to control banks lining the side of the room. You do not have that. The camera is broken and covered with blood. "OK. I'm not who I said I am. The truth is I am.. was.. Jennifers assistant, but I left.. got fired.. whatever. I stole my invitation, she wasn't going to come anyway..." "I learnt a few things about electrics from my father, that's how I knew how to wire those circuits. I can fix pratically everything." You do not have a gun. Quickly raising your gun, you fire a shot at Jennifer. She screams in agony, clutching her chest and falls over. Jennifer's corpse lays on the floor here. Searching Pritchett's corpse reveals nothing more... That is not here Upon examination of Pritchett's corpse, you find his cheque from Steven Price in his top pocket. You do not have that. This is a cheque for 25k made out to Watson Pritchett from Steven Price. You do not have that. This is a cheque for One Million Dollars made out to Jennifer Jenzen, from Steven Price. Further searching of Jennifer's body reveals nothing. That is not here. Upon searching Jennifer's corpse, you find a cheque tucked into her blouse. You do not have a camera. The blood stains on Pritchett's corpse are gone, he seems to be breathing. You do not have a camera. Jennifer corpse it twitching and jerking around the floor. In the distance you can hear her screaming... You fiddle with the Kodak for a while, but can't get it to function. The tape is broken, you cannot rewind to watch it again. "Here, let me do that." says Sara, fiddling with the machine. "Oh, the mechanism is not affected but the tape is, watch closley, this is won't work twice,". On screen you watch from Melissa's point of view as she approaches a room called "Cerebral Hygiene". Pushing open the door and panning across the room, she stops on the scene of three doctors operating on a still conscious, screaming patient. Suddenly, all three turn around to look at the Melissa. "Oh my god!" you can hear her say in the background. The camera jerks wildly as Melissa begins to scream and crashes to ground. The last scene taped was off Melissa's jerking arm being splattered with blood. "I think I'm going to throw up," says Sara and leaves the room. A 3 way intersection heading north, south and west. Leading up to the door of the saturation tank is a trail of bloody footprints. Sara's bloody corpse lays on the floor here. You do not have a gun. Quickly raising your gun, you shoot Sara in the face. The back of her head blows off and her body is thrown back across the room. Closer examination of the corpse reveals nothing more. That is not here. Searching the still warm corpse of Sara, you find a cheque tucked into her blouse. You do not have a camera. Sara is alive through the lens. She sits in a corner with her hands over her face, weeping quietly... You cannot see that. Melissa obviously died a very violent and macabre death. Covered from floor to ceiling in yellowed ceramic tiles, this room is filthy and long dis-used. The north wall is lined with 6 foot drawers where bodies would be kept. In the middle of the room is a blood stained table, used for performing autopsies. You do not have a camera. Young man dressed in a hospital gown lies twitching on the table. He is strapped down and is moaning loudly... You cannot see that. God knows if this stuff still works. God knows if this stuff still works. You have no idea how to turn it on. Peering through the porthole window, the inside of the tank looks like the inside of a zoetrope. Hanging from the centre of the tank is a horizontal metal bar and a pair of goggles. That is not around. The inside of the tank is a kalediscope of light and colour. Steven Price lays slumped in the corner of the tank, blood seeping from his mouth... It might not be a good idea to let Steven out... That is not here. Opening the tank door, you step into what appears to be the inside of a zoetrope. The door slams behind you and you turn to see Dr. Blackburn smiling at you through the window. Suddenly, the tank starts to spin, lights begin to flash and a cacophony of sound assults your ears. Grabbing the metal bar overhead, you very slowly begin to lose your mind.... Eddie is not here. Before you can fire your gun, Eddie grabs the crowbar and swings it, hard, at your head. Hearing your skull crack, you fall over lifeless at his feet... A 4 way intersection. To the west is a door marked "Electro-Shock Therapy", to the north an unmarked door. A 3 way junction heading north, south and east. To the south is a door marked "Saturation Therapy - 'What makes a sane man mad, makes a madman sane'". This room is filled with gears, levers, pulleys, ropes and other mechanical apparatus all covered with dust. It could possibly be the mechanism that operates the shutdown, but you have no idea how to work it. The only exit is to the south. The door to this room is locked. This room is empty. Along the east side of the wall are hundreds and hundreds of bloody handprints. Covered from floor to ceiling in yellowing, cracked tiles; this room was obviously used as a washroom. You sink to the floor in horror as a dark mist begins to form in the room. Suddenly, the door slams shut behind you. You hear a voice you recognise as Sara whisper "Why did you do it? For the money? Well, I hope it was worth it.". A dark mist starts to fill the room... Soft paddin covers the floor, walls and ceiling of this room. It was obviously used as a holding cell. Standing on the chair you can see that the hatch has a lock. The hatch is locked. You cannot reach. The hatch is locked. With what? You film the hatch for several minutes. You do not have a gun. Squeezing the trigger produces a dry 'click!' from your gun. Better put this somewhere safe. It's a dangerous item. You drop the scalpel down the drain, listening to it clink down the pipe. An ordinary scalpel. You take a scalpel from the pile. Blackburn is here. This tiny room is jampacked with equipment. Set-up against one wall is a bank of monitor showing various rooms in the house. Sitting in a chair in front of the monitors is a technician. A control desk in front of the monitors is covered with buttons, one labelled "Skylight". This contains a sink and toilet. Huh? Swinging the technician round in his chair, you are startled to see that the man has no face. The entire inside of his head looks like it has been scooped out! How? Through the camera you can see the technician operating the control panel. He suddenly spots something on one of the monitors and points in surprise... The bloody mess of the technician appears the same through the camera. An ordinary office room, with desk, filing cabinet and chair. West leads back into the hallway. Blackburn is not here. A tall, man wearing glasses and a crisp grey suit. He seems a little on edge. How? Blackburn, seemingly, does not show up on film... "Don't waste my time." "Blackburn isn't here" "Hello. Hav-have you managed to find a way out yet?" Blackburn's bloody corpse lays on the floor here. You do not have a gun Raising your gun, you fire two rounds into blackburns chest. You cannot see that here. The monitors are ri The monitors are rigged up to camera's in various rooms around the house, some of them you don't recognise. Movement on one of the monitors catches your eye, it appears to be Evelyns bedroom. The door opens, and a man dressed as a doctor enters. He pulls a large carving knife from his pocket and smiles at the camera. He begins walking across the room in an erratic manner, towards the bed where Evelyn lies sleeping. Suddenly, the monitors explode in a cloud of glass and smoke... This tiny room is jampacked with equipment. Set-up against one wall is a bank of broken monitors. You cannot see that here. The monitors are now lifeless. This bedroom has been fully restored to the height of luxury. Rich wallpaper and carpet perfectly complement the soft furnishing and huge four poster bed. There are doors to the north and south. There is a letter on the bed. This is a luxurious bathroom, fitted with bath, shower, toilet and sink. There is a door to the north heading to the bedroom The door is locked. From inside you hear a womans voice say, "I'll enter the contents of this gun, into anyone who so much as puts their head through that fucking door,". Hospital beds line the north and south of this room. One bed near the door, has a curtain pulled around it. West leads back into the hallway. This part of the attic is bare and dusty. In the floor is the open hatch leading down into the hallway, it seems a long way down, you will have to jump down. In the south wall is a small door. This room is filled with machinery, cogs, gears, pulleys and levers. To the north is a door leading into the other part of the attic. There is a window in the south wall. You are sitting high above the sea on a narrow window ledge, watching the waves break on the cliffs below you. The sun is shining and beating down on you fiercely, with not a cloud in the sky. You have surrvived the night in the house. Your only worry now is, how are you going to get down... The metal plates bar your way through the window. The lights in the house are flickering madly. From somewhere in the basement you can hear screams and the zapping of electricity... As you enter electro-shock, the noise dies and the lights flicker back to normality. On the table is Evelyn, black arterial blood pouring from her mouth. Steven and Eddie are here looking at you suspiciously. "You know, he tried to kill me upstairs," says Eddie. "Really?" says Steven, pulling out his gun and pointing it straight at you... With what? The monitors are dull and lifeless. Who? You get no reply. That is not here. The monitors are beyond repair. Steven Price is here. Eddie Moses is here. Evelyn is here. As you enter this room, the noise stops and the lights flicker back to normal. Evelyn is on the shock table, blue arterial blood pumping from her lips... You don't have it. "E--, I will join you for your macarbe little game, but I don't like it. There will be too many witnessess. Why can't you just poison his tea? BB--" How? You film the letter for several minutes. It is an old curtain, pratically hanging off the rails... How? You film the curtain for several minutes. A dead body hangs off one of the hospital beds.. The curtain is on the floor. That is not here. Giving the curtain a good, hard yank pulls it free of its rings. Behind it you are shocked to discover a recently killed, naked man, minus a head... Preoccupied with grabbing hold of Eddie, Steven smiles behind you. You never hear the gun fire, just feel the weight of the bullet, thumping into the back of your skull... You grab hold of Steven, forcing his arms behind his back. If you let Steven go now, he is sure to attack you. That is not here. This man has been violently killed. There are bruises all over his skin... and he dosn't have a head... You do not have a camera Through the camera, the corpse appears to be breathing... "Let go of me, you asshole. I didn't do it!" "I know this looks bad, I hate her guts... Do you really think I'd be as stupid as to kill her like this? In front of everyone?" "Take him and put him in the tank. It's somewhere in the basement, south-west of here. I'll see to Evelyn." "When I got here, I found Price playing with all this equipment. I managed to switch off the machine, but she's already dead. He's too dangerous to be let loose in this house," "I know this looks bad, I hate her guts... Do you really think I'd be as stupid as to kill her like this? In front of everyone? I was just trying to switch the machine off. It seems Eddie know's how to work this equipment better than I... I think we should lock him up somewhere, he's too dangerous to be let loose in this house..." The sound of your gun firing, is echoed by the sound of Stevens. Clutching your chest, you turn in amazement to Price only to see him smile and fire again. You collapse in a bloodied heap on top of Eddie's corpse... You do not have a gun. You do not have a gun "Jesus, no!" shouts Eddie, trying to wrestle the gun from your hands. From behind you feel a curious thump in the back of your head. Spinning to face Price, you collapse onto the floor... Shoving Steven in through the door of the tank, you slam it shut behind, twisting the valve to seal it shut. He bangs furiously on the round window but you take no notice. Evelyn is strapped into the shock table. Dark blue arterial blood seeps from between her lips... she is not breathing. Lying on the floor is Eddie's corpse. With what? Steven is jittering manically about the room... With what? Eddie has an ungly gaping wound in his neck, blood seeping down his clothes... Eddie has died from a stab wound in his neck... His shirt and jacket are soaked through with blood... In the pocket of his jacket, you find a cheque. With what? Eddie is leaning over Evelyn on the shock table. Suddenly, her arm comes up holding a knife and plunges it into his neck. Smiling, Evelyn jumps up off the table and leaves the room. It is a cheque made out to Eddie Moses for one million dollars, signed by Steven Price. With what? You film the cheque for several minutes. With what? Evelyn is bucking, jumping and writhing on the shock table. Her eyes turn white as the electric current surges through her body... In the centre of the room is a table fitted with restaining straps. The only exit is east. Aiming the Glock high at the skylight, you fire and watch in horror as the entire stained glass explodes and begins to hurtle toward you. A shard almost two feet in length plunges into your shoulder. As you life's blood ebbs away in the hall, you feel someone's hands going through your pocket, looking for your cheque.... Standing on the chair you can see that the hatch has a padlock. With what? That has no effect on the hatch. In the floor is the open hatch leading down into the hallway. In the south wall is a small door. Just before the end of the driveway is a raised, ornate pond full of statues that would have once sprayed water in graceful plumes. Now they are broken and the pond choked with weed. Looking up at the house makes you dizzy, bizarre architecture combined with the sweeping searchlights give the impression that the house is taller than it really is. You seem to shrink while watching it. With what? You are at the top of the stairs leading down into the basement. To the west is the room with the coffin in. East leads down into the basement. You film the kodak for several minutes. A young man dressed in a hospital gown lies twitching on the table. He is strapped down and is moaning loudly... In the middle of the room is a blood stained table, used for performing autopsies. The only exit to this room is to the north. "Dearest Donald, I'm having a little party for my birthday and I really want you to be there, it might be our chance to deal with him. Your on the guest list too, but in case you don't recieve an invitation, I hereby extend mine to you. XXX, E--" Part of the mechanism is broken. You have no idea where to start. You cannot see that here. You will need to find a replacement belt. A well dressed man with a pencil thin moustache. A young, african, athletic looking man, dressed casually. A young, african, athletic man, dressed in a casual shirt and jeans. Evelyn is lying on the autopsy table. Evelyn is here. You recieve no response. She's already dead. With what? You don't have a gun. You do not have a camera. Through the lens, Evelyn appears to be breathing... You cannot see her here. Leaning over Evelyn on the table, you notice what appears to be a faint smile on her lips. Her eyes flashing open, you jump back quickly but don't manage to avoid the stabbing scalpel plunging towards you. As you lose conciousness, you hear Evelyn's mocking laughter ringing through your ears... Leaning over Evelyn, you notice a faint smile on her lips. You back away slowly as she sits up, grinning through her blood caked lips... Evelyn is here, laughing crazily. You cannot see her here. Evelyn has obviously lost part of her mind. She is grinning and laughing like a maniac... Evelyn claws at your hand... She is not here. Evelyn kicks at you. With what? Instead of Evelyn, all that appears on film is a swirling cloud of darkness and shadow... She is not here. "Poor Steven... The clueless geek... All it would have taken is a divorce... Tearing up the pre-nup... Instead, we have this... We must decide what to do before it comes for us... Shrieking, getting darker..." There is a key here. With What The bloody corpse of Evelyn Price lays here. You don't have it. A small key that can operate a padlock. With what? You film the key for several minutes. Further examination of Evelyn's corpse reveal nothing. That is not here. On a small chain around Evelyn's wrist, you find a key. With what? Through the camera, you see yourself raising the gun and firing at Evelyn. It's useful where it is for reaching the hatch. Standing on the chair and using the key you got from Evelyn, you unlock the hatch above you. You cannot see that. The hatch drops back down into the hallway. You don't have a camera. You film the hatch for several minutes. You haul yourself up through the hatch. You cannot see that here. You jump down into the hallway. The window is shut tight. That is not here. Through the window to the south, you can see blue skys and hear the calling of sea gulls. With what? Using the camera, you film the window for several minutes. The mechanism is whirring away. That is not here. A collection of cogs, gears, pulleys and levers. You have no idea which starts the machine running. With what? The mechanics are whirring away, levers flipping back and forth, cogs turning, ropes burning... The mechanics are alreay working. You have no idea where to start. "Oh... I think it's this one," says Pritchett and flips a lever. You have no idea where to start. "Oh, I think it's this one," says Pritchett, hauling on a lever. The machinery begins to whir round... The End... "Oh, I think it's this one," says Watson hauling on a lever. The machinery starts working and the window to the south begins to rise. You hear a strangle gasp behind you from Watson...
