1.3.4 - 15 Dec 00 * WinTADS updated to TADS 2.5.5 1.3.3 - 3 Sep 00 * WinTADS updated to TADS 2.5.4 1.3.2 - 26 Oct 99 * The registry entry which associated .gam files to WinTADS didn't handle filenames with spaces in them properly, and WinTADS wouldn't run games if you set up the association yourself using the Explorer then double-clicked them. Both of these problems have been fixed. * Fixed a bug which prevented WinTADS from reading and writing saved games and transcripts. 1.3.1 - 20 Oct 99 * After some delay, WinTADS updated to TADS 2.5.1 1.3.0 - 2 Feb 99 * WinTADS updated to TADS 2.3.0 1.2.1 - 29 Oct 98 * When Visual C++ optimized WinTADS, it introduced bugs. This has been fixed. * The game name in the title bar is no longer missing the first letter 1.2.0 - 9 Oct 98 * WinTADS updated to TADS 2.2.6. * A new option, "Close button aborts game", has been added to the Options|Program Settings dialog. When selected, pressing the close button in the upper right hand corner of the window will completely shut down WinTADS and any running games instead of typing 'quit' at the next prompt. * You can now load saved game files and WinTADS will try to find the .gam file from which it was created. 1.1.1 - 12 Dec 97 * Games which are opened either by double-clicking them or by dropping them on the WinTADS icon are now added to the "recent" list. * It was possible to select an item from the "recent" list while running a game, which would cause nasty creepy things to happen. This is no longer allowed. * Bound games had a "recent" list, a rather nonsensical arrangement which has been rectified. * The title bar now displays the game being run. * The code which controls keyboard input has been extensively rewritten. * WinTADS no longer ignores you if you tell it not to make a .sav game registry association. * Uninstal.exe created. See WinTADS.doc for more details. 1.1.0 - 8 Oct 97 * If WinTADS is maximized at the end of a session, it will begin the next session maximized. * WinTADS now uses the standard Win95/NT file dialog. * The "Two spaces after period" and "Bold input" settings in the Story Window options are no longer ignored. * The "Recently loaded .gam files" submenu has been placed at the end of the file menu, more in keeping with the Windows standard. * Ctrl-Alt-Q now forces a quit, in case the TADS engine hangs. * Some editing keys, like Escape and Shift-Arrow Keys, didn't work. They do now. * Problems with the file dialogs not remembering default extensions (*.gam for game files, *.sav for saved games, &c.) have been rectified. * There was a nasty, nasty bug involving the TADS source code and indistinguishable objects. This bug had never appeared in _any_ other version of TADS, and by all rights shouldn't have in this one. It took me about five hours to find and two seconds to fix. 1.0.0 - 22 Sep 97 Initial Release
