TADS 2.5.5 BeOS Console Executables Copyright (c) 1993, 2000 Michael J. Roberts. BeOS port copyright (c) 2001 Christopher Tate All Rights Reserved. This archive contains the BeOS Console versions of the TADS executables. These executables support BeOS R5 and later, both Pro and Personal Edition. The archive also includes the 2.5.5 versions of the TADS library files "adv.t" and "std.t". This is patchlevel 2 of the BeOS port. Patchlevel 2 adds support for the status line display via the standard 'termcap' system. If you are playing TADS games in a standard BeOS Terminal, you should set the "TERM" environment variable to "beterm" or "vt100". "beterm" is the default, so you shouldn't have to do anything unless you've changed it for some other reason. If you're using TADS through a telnet session, you should set the TERM environment variable appropriately for the display device you're using. Both the TADS 2.5.5 runtime (tadsr) and compiler (tadsc) are provided. Unfortunately, there is no BeOS version of the TADS debugger (tdb) at this time.
