TWO WAYS solution:

INITIAL COMMENTS:
     The "discarded sword" is absolutely essential to enter the 
city of Eirene and win game.  There are five locations at which 
the city can be entered--one before entering Apoleia, four after.
The player must visit all five locations to gain full score of 77
points.  Additionally, the player must be resurrected from five 
specific locations during play to obtain a full score--MAX_LIVES 
are 9.  There are five GAME_END rooms.  Three hostile creatures 
can be killed--a fourth is only escaped via a special.  (I don't 
remember reading about this last possibility but liked it once I 
discovered you could escape from hostile creatures.  Also, got a 
kick out of the idea of awarding points in PLAYER_DEAD rooms.)  
     The turns as listed below are sufficient to win the game and
score 77 points.  They are not necessarily all given in precise 
order for most interesting play, but reflect primarily one way 
all the points can be scored.  For play one should use the "HELP"
and "EXAMINE" commands frequently.  Also, many specials were not 
included as they did not   have an effect on scoring per se.  
Many of the specials can be viewed by "listen" or sometimes 
"watch".  Some NOUNS and CREATURES are disguised by the wording 
of the "short description".  My apologies are offered if you find
the designer more "ruthless" than the characters and traps in the
game itself.  I would be interested in knowing if you find the 
game-play fair, not discouraging, and yet challenging. -- GEM
