The .acd & .dat files contained in this archive are supposedly non-platform-specific. This version of ARUN & the batch files are of course for DOS or Windows machines. For Windows, extract everything to the same directory & double-click on the .bat file. For DOS without Windows, you need to have the cwsdpmi.exe utility in the directory where ARUN is. If you want to run the game on another system you'll have to get the right kind of ARUN from the ALAN archive at ftp.gmd.de. "Dinnertime" isn't really a game, just a puzzle with an ancient solution (similar to a tricky little idea in "Adventure," released in 1977!). If for whatever bizarre reason you want to experience these in the order they were written in, this archive includes: 1. dinner = Dinnertime 2. tgttos = To Get To The Other Side 3. running = They're After You! 4. maze = Mazemapper 5. mean = The Mean Story There's also a hint file that runs under ARUN just like a game. I'd advise you to use hints only as a last resort, if I thought you weren't already aware of that advice. Thanks in advance for playing! Bob Reeves, rreeves@unm.edu
