------------------------------------------------------------ README for Mountain Release 1, Copyright (C) 2003 by Benjamin Penney ------------------------------------------------------------ Flipping through the "affordable" titles at the back of your local computer store, you notice a small package titled "Mountain". (See attatched "Diskette Box Cover.gif".) The packaging is flimsy at best, and it's definitely been made with inferiority in mind. But who cares, you figure as you pluck it out of the discount rack; it's another text adventure to play on your XYZ microcomputer! Besdies, you don't exactly have enough pocket money for one of those cool Infocom ones... Welcome to the world of Mountain! This is my first piece of Interactive Fiction, and I hope you like it. The above was just my thoughts on Mountain's place in the world of IF. It's the lowly, second-rate discount title with poor production. You either hate it and play frisbee with the disk, or... well, I'm sure someone will like it. More details about Mountain can be found in the game if you type HELP. I just wanted to seperate the foreword above from the actual story. To play Mountain, you'll need a Z Machine. Or, if they're still not a reality, maybe a Z Machine emulator, such as Frotz. Good luck! Sincerely, The Benjamin Penney Team.
