Requirements:
DOS 3.3 or higher, SHARE.EXE loaded, ANSI.SYS loaded, 
400K RAM, Mouse(optional)

Automatic Install instructions
------------------------------
Be sure you have unzipped the above files to a temporary work directory.

From the dos prompt type:

INSTALL

You will be asked to choose a drive to install the Brainex files.

All of your door files be will placed there, so be sure to pick a drive
with plenty of room for future doors!

Your AUTOEXEC.BAT will be modified to add a SET BRAINEX statement,
and the BRAINEX directory will be added to your path.

After the files are copied you will shown the HELP file. You can read
it online, print it. To exit hit F10.

* For best results: READ THE HELP FILE! (BRAINEX.HLP)

Next, The Brainex Door manager will run.  Allow some time for it to
initialize...

Follow the setup instructions and answer the questions as needed!

SETUP NOTES
===========
The install program will create a BRAINEX directory in the root of the 
drive you specify. All Door Manager files will be copied there. Your door
files will also be copied there automatically by the SETUP.BAT file 
included in each door zip file.  The BRAINEX directory will be added to 
your path statement, and the environment variable: 

BRAINEX=C:\BRAINEX\BRAINEX.INI 

will be added by a SET command. The drive letter will be the actual one you 
specify.


Once the setup is complete, you can delete the files from the temporary
work directory.

TROUBLE?
========

* If for any reason your AUTOEXEC.BAT file did not get updated, you
can manually add the SET and PATH modifications using an ASCII text
editor. On line 2 of AUTOEXEC.BAT place:

SET BRAINEX=C:\BRAINEX\BRAINEX.INI

Next add the BRAINEX directory to your path statement. If you installed
to C: you would add:

C:\BRAINEX

Example:

PATH=C:\DOS;C:\BRAINEX

Once you have edited AUTOEXEC.BAT, reboot the computer, then run
BRAINSET from the Brainex directory.


DESQVIEW TIPS
=============
If you get errors using Desqview, try these settings:

Set OPTMIZE COMMUNICATIONS to YES
Set USE MATH COPROCESSOR to YES if using a 486.


DIGIBOARD and FOSSIL
====================
You will need DIGIBORD.ZIP to use a Digiboard with Brainex Doors.
This file includes an external transfer protocol program and replacement
batch files required for FOSSIL drivers used by Digiboard or any
BBS using a FOSSIL.
