Puppet Man Solution There are 3 of the 9 Muses that need your help. They are Terpsichore, Thalia and Erato - the Muses of dance, comedy and lyric poetry respectively. There are 3 characters in the adventure who, if helped in various ways, enable each muse to provide the necessary inspiration. Ballerina cannot dance until her shoes are found, Tomaszewski the clown cannot perform until the eggshell with his clown-face identity on it have been found and poor Pierrot, having written a love-poem to Columbine, has it locked away and has lost the key. So the first thing to do is get Ballerina dancing and satisfy Terpsichore. First wake up and move E to talk to the Muse, then go to the Manor House grounds and enter the house itself. Go UP and N to the study and take the ladder. Next move S and E, open and examine the cabinet then take the slippers and leave the Manor House. From there go to the crossroads and then N,N and W and drop the ladder, climb it and examine the hollow to find the jacket. Examine the jacket to find the silver key which you should take back to the Manor House. Once inside, go N from the bottom of the stairs to the lounge. Open the closet, examine it and then do the same with he skeleton. Take the skeleton key and return to the crossroads. From here go S to the village green and then W to the village hall. Open the door of the hall and go inside, examine the goods to reveal the shoes and take them. Finally to complete this section, return to the Muse and give her the slippers and then go back to the Manor House, go upstairs and W to Ballerina and give her the shoes. Now you have to help the second Muse, Thalia, Muse of Comedy. Go to the Manor House and enter it. Go S and examine the table to find the salmon and take it. Now go upstairs and move N, examining the shelf to find the glove. Now leave the Manor House and go W, W and N to get the cleaver. Return to the marquee and enter the ring. Open the cage, go in and drop the salmon for the bear and then leave. After this, open the cage, move N and E then drop the ladder and climb it. Open the cage, go back down and W, enter the marquee again and close the cage to shut the bear up safely. Now you must return N and E, enter the cage and examine the box to get the netting. Now leave the cage, go W and enter the marquee then go S, S, W, S, S, S, S, and E to throw the netting. Go E again and use the cleaver to cut the chain, then enter the building, climb up, examine the nest and get the eggshell. Lastly, return to the marquee once more and enter the ring - go N, W and UP, give the man the eggshell and climb down for the next part. You now have to satisfy the Muse of lyric poetry, Erato and confront the Puppetman himself. Go to the stage and talk to the juggler, Pierrot. Take the indian club and jump. Go to the house and then up, N, get the glove and examine the shelf. Take the note, retrace your steps and go to the crossroads. From there move S, S, S, W and S. Here, sooner or later, a man in the bushes creates a path leading west. Move around till you hear him and then you can continue. Go W, W, W and drop the club then S, S, W, S and E. Examine the fire, wear the glove and take the poker. Next go W, N, W and examine the fire, then poke the cinders to reveal a black key which you must take. Now move E, S, E and light the candle so that you can proceed W, N, N and up. Go to the door, unlock the desk, examine it and get the poem, now you must retrace your steps to the stage and give it to Columbine. For the last moves, jump and go W, N, N, N, examine the stump and get the marionette. Now go tho the village inn - east from the green - and give the marionette to the Puppet Man.
