README for phone.t phone.t is a TADS module for implementing telephones. It basically allows you to talk to people on the phone as if they're in the same room. Current version is 1.17 (ALPHA!) unless I've forgotten to update the README lately. phone.t is (hopefully) available at ftp.gmd.de and mirrors. It should also be at http://voth.hec.utah.edu/~karger/download/phone.tar.gz phone.t requires TADS v2.5.1 or later. phone.t depends on Suzanne Britton's chatter.t module, which expands NPC's conversational ability. The latest version of chatter.t is at http://www.igs.net/~tril/if/chatter. chatter.t should appear at ftp.gmd.de (and mirrors) at some point as well. ********************************************************************** FILES: phone.t - the phone module Manual.txt - instructions on how to use phone.t TODO - short- and long-range goals CHANGES - changes between various releases test.t - test game (compile it with the TADS compiler to get test.gam) actors.t - actors for test.t test.scr - test script for phone.t test.out - what you should get when you do tadsr -i test.scr -l new.out test.gam (or your system-dependent equivalent) ********************************************************************** Comments, suggestions, etc. welcome. -Amir Karger karger@post.harvard.edu
