OBITUARY WALKTHRU As a last resort (or just very heavy hints), these are the general steps you'll need to take to get through _OBITUARY_. Feel free to stray from it at any point. SPOILER SPACE separates each step. Well, you could just get in your car and drive home. Don't want to? Fine. Follow the path into the town. Just walk around; the mist clears on its own. For those of you who like to code, note that your room descriptions will never be the same twice. Examine the gate twice, then take the piece. Break the box (or >u, or >out, etc) and stand. Talk to Marcus until the creature appears. There are two possible endings to the conversation; one that results in Marcus's instant death, and another where he is still alive at the start of the next section. The game cannot continue until one of these endings is reached. If you want him dead at the start, pick "Nothing is wrong with me." If you want him to be alive at the start of the confrontation, say "That's pretty sad." If Marcus is dead before the showdown with creature begins, go into the church, then close and bolt the door. If he is alive you can still do this, but he will die. If Marcus is alive and you want to keep him that way, >shoot creature to distract it. Then >t marcus and tell him to push the creature into the hole. Or you could, yaknow, just let it kill you. There's lots of ways to get that done. Assuming you're still happily alive and the creature is not, you must be in the church to continue the story. Try and exit to the south. That's it! As mentioned in the about text, we highly recommend you not follow this walkthrough to the letter; if you look around, try going places that this walkthrough skips over, you will discover much more about the character you are playing and other story elements will be made clearer, which should hopefully increase your enjoyment and appreciation of the game. Feel free to send your thoughts while playing to amockery@gmail.com or vamping@ymail.com as we love any constructive comments or criticism.
