The Twine application program is copyright Chris Klimas and other contributors, and is licensed under [[https://github.com/tweecode/twine/blob/master/gpl.txt|the GPL, version 3]]. It is written in Python using [[http://wxpython.org|wxPython]], which is licensed under the [[http://www.wxwidgets.org/about/licence/|wxWindows Library License]].

The application program, and generated Twine stories that use the jQuery [[StorySettings|StorySetting]], contains a copy of [[https://jquery.org/|jQuery 1.11]], copyright jQuery Foundation and other contributors, and is licensed under the [[https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jquery/jquery/master/MIT-LICENSE.txt|MIT license]].

The application program, and generated Twine stories that use the Modernizr [[StorySettings|StorySetting]], also contains a copy of [[http://modernizr.com|Modernizr 2.6.2]], also licensed under the [[http://modernizr.com/license/|MIT license]].

The Twine runtime engine, written in Javascript, is based on [[http://tiddlywiki.org|TiddlyWiki 1.2.39]], copyright Jeremy Ruston, and is licensed under [[https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tweecode/twine/master/targets/sugarcane/header.html|the New BSD license]].
